Suncadia for the Weekend

As you may know from our previous blog post on our short trip to Leavenworth, we are currently really into weekend vacations. Suncadia Resort sure didn't disappoint. What we love so much about Suncadia is that it's located so close to Seattle that it makes for a perfect weekend getaway.
Travel - Suncadia is just about an hour and 20 minutes away from Bellevue, WA and once again, that meant we got to make a pit stop at our favorite burger spot on I-90 (Mountain High Hamburgers).
Location - This extravagant resort comprises a "Lodge" (which is pretty much their hotel), condos, and houses that you can rent. You can book your stay directly through their website. We rented a house because we were going with a couple of other friends. Our house was absolutely stunning! It was located right on the golf course, has a game room, a hot tub, and sleeps 13. Tip: if you have a Passport Dining card or something similar, be sure to check to see if you are eligible for additional discounts.
Food - The resort itself features a couple of restaurants, a cafe, a winery, and a food truck. Since we stayed in a house, it was convenient for us to whip up a couple of meals in the chef's kitchen.
Amenities - Visiting their swimming pools were hands down the best part of our trip. They have a couple of swimming pools but the two main ones are heated (all year round) and overlook the crystal-clear river. The indoor pool also features two water slides to help bring out your inner child. If relaxing is your thing, visit their spa or head out for a round of golf. There are plenty of trails throughout the resort for walking, running, and biking. In the warm months be sure to take advantage of the kayak and paddleboard rentals. During the chilly months, you're sure to fall in love with the magical ice-skating rink, cross country skiing, and other winter activities.
The WOW factor - In addition to all of the incredible programs going on, they also put on multiple seasonal events. The fall seasonal event was their very own mini pumpkin patch. They also offer free s'mores packs so that you can roast your marshmallows around the fire (or burn your marshmallow - we won't judge) as you take in the stunning mountain views.
We loved our trip so much that we've already begun planning our next visit. Have you been to Suncadia? Let us know what your favorite thing was in the comments below.
XOXO,
