Hello friends! Wow, it's been so long since we've last written. It has been the busiest couple of months ever! We wanted to get back to writing about our incredible travel adventure and share it with the world so here we go......

As usual, we tracked our flights on Hopper and Google Flights and found an incredible deal, $500/per person round-trip from Seattle, USA to London, England (such a STEAL). Two of our friends also decided to join us on our trip of a lifetime. Our original plan was to travel from London to Paris, to Milan and then end up in Greece. We had a small hiccup in our plans because we found out that Rumma had to get 2 visas for our trip. The process took way longer than expected so we ended up changing our trip to be within the UK so we only had to get one visa for the trip. Pro tip: check to see if you need a visa to travel months ahead of traveling.

Ok, so we hopped on the plane and headed to LONDON! Here is our itinerary from our trip that may help you with your planning:

Day 1: We landed in London. We were planning on going into the city to check it out but my oh my, jet lag hit us hard. We ended up walking around the city we were staying in for a couple of hours and hit the hay. Our friends, Alex and Jared decided to travel to Barcelona and Nice for 3 days (they didn't have to get visas).

Day 2: We headed to the heart of London, Trafalgar Square, this was an incredible way to start the trip. The fountains were so enchanting, that's when it hit us that we were in another country. We got tickets to the Original Hop-On-Hop-Off bus that took us to Buckingham Palace and other major sites in the city.

Day 3: Our tickets for the hop-on-hop-off bus included river cruise tickets. The Thames River Cruise was the perfect way to view the city and get from one end to the other. We hopped off at the Tower of London and enjoyed the area before heading back for the day.

Day 4: One recommendation we had received from a friend was to visit Little Venice and let us tell you, it did not disappoint. We had breakfast at Cafe LaVille, a restaurant that was directly on top of the canal and we had the best view in the house. If you've ever watched Notting Hill you might have dreamt of one day walking along the roads of colorful brick townhomes and that is exactly what we did next. When we got back Rumma watched the movie for the very first time!

Day 5: Off to Scotland, we went! Our friends, Alex and Jared, joined back with us and we took the train to Edinburg, Scotland. It was about 5 hours long but one of the most beautiful sights to see. Way better than taking the plane! When we got there we walked around the city, had some dinner and headed to our hotel.

Day 6: We had planned a tour guide from the city to Stirling Castle (absolutely stunning!!!!), Loch Ness, and the Kelpies. That took up the entire day but it was well worth it.

Day 7: Our train ride to Glasgow, Scotland was not until the afternoon so we visited the Museum of Edinburg. The architecture was immaculate! We hopped on the train and 45 min later, we were in Glasgow. Glasgow was the only location we didn't actually plan anything for, we decided to wing it. We visited the infamous Glasgow Cathedral and graveyard site with a view of the city, indulged in high tea at the Willow Tea Rooms, and visited the Glasgow riverside museum.

Day 8: Back on the plane we went, to Belfast, Ireland. Honestly, that was the quickest plane ride ever! We think it was around 30 mins long. We visited the Titanic exhibit, it was an experience we will never forget. Then, for dinner we went to a small restaurant called Made In Belfast, it was some of the best food we had ever eaten, period. Their sticky toffee pudding was outstanding!

Day 9: We took another tour, this time, it was along the northern coast of Ireland. We visited castles, walked on wood-plank bridges, walked on Giant's Causeway and skipped under the gorgeous dark hedges. The views from all of these places were truly spectacular! We even went back to Made In Belfast for dinner because we loved it so much, this time too, it was a home run!

Day 10: We flew back to London. We got tickets to go back on the hop-on-hop-off bus and went around town to show Alex and Jared a couple of our favorite spots.

Day 11: We had to get on the iconic London Eye so we tackled that first thing, then headed to The Shard for drinks in the afternoon. To our surprise, they had an opening for dinner so we came back later to have an extravagant dinner together.

Day 12: Alex and Jared headed back to Seattle and Rumma and I met up with our friend who lives in London who showed us around Greenwich and the cool art culture in London.

Day 13: It was our last day in London and we were exhausted! We went to Coppa Club for breakfast. That was one of the coolest breakfast experiences we had on the trip. You get to eat in little pods while taking in the gorgeous views of the river. Then off to Harrods for some last-minute gift shopping for friends and family back home.

Day 14: We headed back to Seattle and we were ready to go home, ready to sleep in our cozy bed and smell the rainy Seattle air.

This trip to Europe was truly a trip of a lifetime and we really enjoyed every place we visited. If you have any questions about planning your vacation feel free to message us!

XOXO,

RuRu
